    Tranny shop recomendation?

    Ok, I have a bigger problem than the leaking power steering pump...

    Transmission (AX-15) started popping out of 3rd gear on occasion. It's only going into third; everything else is fine. When it happens it goes into 3rd, but as I let go and get off the clutch it jumps back out. I drive 70 miles per day and it only does this 2-3 times per day but I figure it's only a matter of time before it gets more frequent.

    I'm guessing it's in need of a rebuild (new 3rd gear).

    Can someone recommend a shop? I hate to just pick a place at random and roll the dice.

    I second d.o.g jeep's suggestion. Dan at advance tranny is good people. He did some work for me in the past and he hooked me up.

    If no luck. Banner Transmissions in bellmore. Had my tranny rebuilt about 8 months ago. Decently priced and they had it done in a couple days.
