Wow, haven't done one of those recalls in a long time. We used to have like 20 empty boxes a day piled up when this came out.

Its funny because just yesterday i had a guy with a 2000 with a hot restart misfire and i told him about the heat sheild from Jeep. I didnt realize it was a recall repair. Ive had Jeeps with them and some without. Just thought they where there when new and removed by a mechanic at a later repair or just taken out by owners.

There was another heat shield for the injectors as well and the was supposedly the fix for the hot start misfires, and this debris shield was kind of the cause for it if I remember correctly.

  9. so if I have not had any problems yet, should I just wait or get the recall done? Now when I first got the Jeep, like all vehicles I have owned, I did a recall search and it came up with none. Is this a new recall or would it have been done if it did not show up on a search?
