If its from an 8.25 then yes but if its from a dana 35 no
kid will sell me a sway bar and all cables for an e-brake for $40...will a stock e-brake cable work for my truck wit a 4.5 inch(ish) lift?
If its from an 8.25 then yes but if its from a dana 35 no
thanks. Should i get the front and rear sway bars? idk what the minimum is to pass inspection.
Dont bother with the rear sway bar its useless everybody removes them any way the front is up to you i run no sway bars and its fine to pass inspection but you can make disconnects for cheap
I was told i needed sway bars to pass inspection so thats why im looking to buy them. Do you even need a rear sway bar to pass?
Never heard of needing swaybars to pass? I dont have any and mine "passed" haha No swaybars really isnt that bad![]()

Haha alright not too worried about the sway bars then but still need the ebrake. Kid said hed sell me a front sway bar and ebrake cables for my xj for 40 bills is that fairly priced?
A buddy of mine does state inspections at a dealership up here. I just texted him with the question, and he said "Sway bars front or rear are a requirement to pass NYS Inspection."

I am assuming then it is at the judgement of the inspector to pass or fail. My buddy said that he would pass it without. If you get an inspector that cares, you will fail.

You will want a front sway bar if you do mostly street driving. It will save your suspension a lot of stress and also wear on your tires. Yes you can live without but its much nicer with the front. Rear, no need... I assume you have an XJ. Cant remember. Post it in the garage so we can see what you run.
