Testing and reconfiging files most of the night. One issue they need to help me hurdle with the database and we'll be good to complete the move sometime Tuesday.

Yeah it might be set where until it's up, it's down. Support at the new host is great but there is a time gap from moving the SQL database. Since I reopened it last night before bed, and we've all posted this morning. I have to re-do the export and import, the import being the part I'm having issues with due to it being too large.
Good thing, their support writes back in 5-10 minutes, not silence for 6 weeks ilke what I was experiencing at the old place.
Site going down now. Starting early while working so I'm here watching the site while it all goes on.

Move is complete.
Many parts of the site are currently turned off and will be for the rest of the day. Tonight I will be going through the new software version and doing the update. Then I will update the plug-ins 1 by 1 and turn them on to make sure everything is smooth.
This way we have a site now working, instead of me breaking and fixing and sweating it out in a mad panic.
Happy Posting!!

Your local internet service provider might use a cacheing DNS server and it might take a while to catch up. Your work probably uses a different DNS server.
If that's the issue, you can trick your computer into using the new DNS location of OO by changing your DNS server. OpenDNS is free, and it's a lot more reliable than whatever you cable or phone company is using. You can change your DNS server to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. If you don't know how to change your DNS server, you can set up a free account here and they'll walk you through it.
There are a lot of free DNS providers. I don't have any affiliation to this one other than using it since it started. It has been totally solid for me and I always change my DNS servers first thing whenever I get a new router for the house.
