  1. OK so after half a dozen calls the SSRs in 33s are no longer in production. And i even called around to see if anyone had some stuffed in the back of a warehouse somewhere. No luck so far. Oh well. For what i paid i have a good spare or i can buy 2 different style Swampers to match.

I also found the white parts XJ had a trailer wiring setup zip tied up under the quarter panel. So i cut it out and wired it into the 99. So now i have parkers, brakes and signals. Unlike how i had it rigged with no signals working. So im happy about that. Not that i plan to run a trailer all that often. But its a nice thing to have.

  2. Went out with Flashbak and his buddy XJ on 1 tons. Gave the 99 a good flogging. Some issues but nothing major. RF tire rubs the front skid. So that needs to be adreesed. And i think i need to kick out the front axle a bit. The coil is hitting the lip on the bumpstop tube in the front. So ill fix that. Overall good mild wheeling day. Did stuff i wouldnt do alone. And glad i beat on it a little locally.

Did have a good "stuck". Nose dived it and layed it a little sideways. Didint contact the passenger side really. But i still needed to be pulled out. Front locker may have helped. Think thats on a "sooner than later" list.

Had fun and no major damage. Probably some good lite scratches under the dirt and mud. But no gashes or dents LOL.

  4. The XJ on 1tons on the other hand had a more interesting "stuck" than me. Hit the water a little to hard and Gulped some H2O. if not for that he had that thing covered. he did it earlier. But it must have been the cameras on the second try Haha.

I know he has some sick video from inside LOL.

  5. So with my wheeling fun on Sunday i realized i need to kick the front axle forward a little. Figured if i have to drop half of each arm to adjust it. Why not swap them out for an upgrade. Full set of 4 almost new Rough Country adjustables with Johny joints fpr $120.

I bought a set of 8 arms for a ZJ a couple months back and figured id divvy them up between the Comanche and the Grand. Now ill toss the rubber bushinged RC arms from the 99 XJ in the MJ. And the ZJ set will all just go in the 93 ZJ.

  13. Some small items covered today. The little crap i said id get to another day. Today was the day i guess. Hood release was broken so i swapped the one from the 97 blue parts XJ. No more pliers to pop the hood. Also took the hatch pistons from the blue XJ. There no good but the black 99 had NONE. So opening the hatch was dead weight. And whe they yanked them they took the brackets off the hatch side. So i needed them anyway. Cleaned the interior since it was full of sand. And i had no floor mats. So i took the Husky floor mats from the red 92 XJ.

Biggest news of the day was that i found out the newer style Warn winch controls are designed to work on the old style round plugs LOL. So finding a control will be simple. Gotta love Warn for stuff like that. Try to find a control for a Chinese brand and i wouldnt be surprised if they changed the design every 2 years LOL. So hopefully soon ill have a working winch. Cant imagine what other trouble i can get in when i dont need help getting out of a pinch LOL.

  15. MORE crap done today. Swapped the better RC control arms in. The nice ones with Johny joints and im glad since the regular rubber bushing ones where only in for a month.

Not wasted yet. But i can see the 33s are to much for the stock style rubber bushing. Hopefully the Johnies and poly set up last longer LOL. Also bumped the arms out a little longer. Hopefully not to far. Also ordered my winch control last night.
