That Crossbow upper receiver is more than a new complete AR-15 (save maybe a colt or KAC). If I could scavenge one then heck ya, but I'll pass as far as preps.

  3. oh yea, before I forget... I would raid a health care facility for latex gloves and surgical masks to help avoid catching the bug that causes zombification.

I'd pick up a box of latex gloves now. They are cheap enough. Better yet, some big chemical resistant gloves and a respirator from home depot. You might as well pick up a face shield or 2. You could always use this stuff now instead of trying to scrounge later.

  5. This is true, zombie prep, that can be useful in the mean time

  6. My plan is simple get the mountain bikes out of the garage hook up the bike rack to the jeep. head 2 blocks away and meet my friends with there trucks. fill the trucks up and head west and keep going. staying in a group has its advantages and disadvantages but out on the road u dont want to be alone.

  7. I would head north to rurl areas, maybe a couple islands I know of.
    72 Bronco sport, 35/12.5 15, 5.5 BCB lift... Nope it's not a Jeep...
close ratio sterring sys, locked front 44/ chrome moly shafts, Rancho adjustables up front
69 351w, Edelbrock intake & offroad carb, DUI, Alumin Rad, stock 3onthe tree, LUK clutch
Mile marker sec 8 winch, 23 gallon gas tank, custom made rear bumper

  8. I would head to the most populated place I can find, setup a stronghold and wait it out... everyone not infected will be getting out and heading to the least populated places making them a breading ground. Meanwhile the Zombies will be migrating with the food source, so if I stay put, get up high and wait it out, I should be safe.

The way I see it, I'm stuck on this Island until the smoke clears. I have stores of ammo and food to hunker down for a bit, then I'll take it from there. My biggest glitch is if this occurs while I'm at work in Brooklyn and I have to fight my way back home. Luckily I'm always armed, but I need to find a way to secretly and securely stow a long arm in my Jeep. I'm possibly going to hollow out my back seat, but I'm not sure yet....
