Wow great first episode! I was psyched up to watch this show again and it totally delivered.

The son getting shot at the end? Unexpected. I thought the kid was gonna have a weapon or something to kill the deer silently and then BOOM.. down he went. Good stuff!

Here's to more blood, guts, and carnage next week in episode 2!

I never read the comics so I'm clean of any preconception. I'm guessing it's Shane so it causes more drama down the road.

We should make a non-spoiler version of this for those of us who don't want to know.. I'll edit and make this thread the non-spoiler edition

A guy I work with read the comics and loves talking about the differences. I want to punch him in the throat to shut him up...but my boss and I just walk away and dont include him anymore lol

Dont worry i wont tell LOL. Besides there moving so far away from the comic that the episode last night through me off. When Carl got shot i said "Huh?" Took me a second to remember the comic.

But i will say it again. You dont have to be a comic book geek like me to enjoy reading the graphic novels. There just great reads.

You can have a fully detailed spoiler thread separately I have no problems with that as long as it is marked as such in thread title and warning on first post...

I checked IMDB and the main writers were listed for 19 episodes. So they might have fired them I don't know all the details but it sounds like that would not apply to the show until Season 3.

Never posted on week 2..

It was a good episode but it took FAR TOO LONG to get some zombie action. It was only until there was like 6 minutes left in the episode we saw any sizable zombie presence. Hopefully next week that changes from the coming attraction it looked to have a lot more promise.

Will they find the little girl? Who knows. If they do I hope at this point she's a zombie and gets an arrow in the head.

Will the boy live? Yeah probably. But I think fatboy Otis is going to die to get the medical supplies back to the house.

Why does that giant plantation where they only have a single rifle get no zombie action? Too far in the woods? There was a road and that giant hoard was only a few miles away. Maybe that's a telling sign of how rural america will be the place to go during a real zombie apocalypse.

Oh and now for my request.. More camera time for T-Dog.. Get him healthy and let him rock some zombies. And he's right about being the only black guy. Hell half of the promotional materials and pics on the web don't show him in them. RACIST! I have a solution.. BRING IN ERNIE HUDSON as T-Dog's FATHER!!! Wouldn't that be a mother fu.... Not saying it makes sense but that line int he show really did make me realize how white bread this show is, considering it starts outside of ATLANTA.. I mean come on.

Overall after episode #2 I give Season 2 a B- rating. Wish it could be an A but I need to see more ZOMBIES and I need to see more people die. Bringing in more characters this week so they can be killed is a good thing and step in the right direction.
