    does anybody know if those tube doors are legal in nyc and li ,want to get a pair for my jeep ,but want to find out first

    yes any door or no door at all is legal as long as you have i side view mirror

    That is correct....I researched the hell out of NYS laws with regards to vehicle doors that are designed to be removed and asked a few cops, no law against it, just need two rear facing mirrors. There is only one law on the books with regards to doors which has to do with not opening a door in the right of way of traffic (like when parallel parked) must not open a door that can interfere with vehicles in travel lanes.

    My only question would be is if NY City has some rule on it but I doubt it.

    you dont want them. Ive run 2 different types of after market mirrors both cheap and high end disconnects. They are extremely unstable and vibrate to the point you cant see out of them while driving. Get the mirror relocation brackets for stock mirrors.

    I agree mirror relocation brackets are the way to go.
