What NOT to do while you're "having fun"!!

First off, let me begin by saying I have only been out on the beach a handful of times so far this season and have seen more rules being broken and carelessness than I have seen in a long time!

I would like this thread to be about what NOT to do. Feel free to post photos of someone doing something they shouldn't. Maybe a little public criticism or humiliation will help.

Everyone should pay attention to the following section:

I understand most members here are jeep drivers and from my experience over the last few weeks, it's been mostly jeeps. Might be a coincidence, might not, but don't think I am favoring one crowd over another. I will post whatever I see and I expect you to do the same.

If this stuff keeps up, we will lose beach access as well.


Here is my first issue:

These jeeps were going way too fast and had passengers standing up on Burma Road last Saturday (June 4th). I am at a loss for words. Can there really be people that stupid out there?




The owner of this Jeep had a friend lift the fence, he crawled under, went in the dunes and stood on top the hill to take a piss! There is a reason the dunes are off limits. It's not a suggestion, it's the law! Another loser! Sorry I couldn't get a photo of him, but did get his vehicle. Maybe someone knows this jagoff too.




Also, having put in years on the sand, I can tell whether someone aired down or not. The amount of guys getting stuck out there is ridiculous! I am sure I will have a ton of photo for this thread by the end of the summer!

There has been a serious outcry on the fishing forums about this as well. And its true. I believe you can blame Jeep/Chrystel with there "new line of 4x4s" that bring the masses to the beach. This is why I love democrat point and the time restriction rule... It keeps the assholes out!

this past weekend there seemed to be alot of assholes out there. i mean i had my fun too but there were a few ppl out there like this one kk kept slamming on there brakes on burma road and had a kid hanging out the b ack window the whole way down. not to mention the amount of trash tht seemed to be left all over the place

It seems like the 10% rule is starting to expand a little too much. I am sure if I look around up here, I will see just as many stupid people too, but since we dont have the beaches to attract them, they are still in the shadows round my part

Just got back from the sore thumb. I just pulled out 2 trucks that were stuck on the high trail just down from the first turn off the cove. A ZJ was helping a blazer and they both buried them selves. Both older guys, late 30's early 40s. You would think they d know better. The guy in the blazer had his young daughter in the truck and NO EQUIPMENT AT ALL! The guys in the ZJ must have been from Sweden or somewhere. They seemed to understand and speak ok till I asked them if they aired down. Then they didnt understand. Neither truck was aired down... of course. The blazer had no tow points and he decided to wrap around his rear shackles. I shoulda gave him a good yank and ripped the whole spring off. Maybe he d learn after that. I usually dont stop to help people who are stupid, IE are unprepared. I did my good deed for the summer...
And FYI lockers in the sand + 4L = unstoppable! ahaha

We def need to keep this thread going as a WALL OF SHAME kinda deal. Dont be the guy on this thread...

Definitely a fair share of assholes out on the beach, especially Smith Point. Earlier in the season I pulled out this chick and her boyfriend in a newer Mercury Mountaineer buried up to the rockers at Smith Point. Not aired down, no equipment and driving so close to the water the waves were breaking on their truck. After I pulled them out they got stuck again, I reluctantly pulled them out again and basically told them they really needed to leave... Idiots.

I have been to Smiths point in a few years but years ago when i went fairly regularly i was guilty of doing stupid stuff out there where noboby was around.

Not to get off subject but i find it stupid that at Smiths the only check for the proper equipment if you by a day pass and not if you by a season pass, it would probably keep some idiots out or at least prepaired if they did more checking.

I was on demo this afternoon. Down towards the jetty. Beach was more crowded then usual but 99% was LIBA and real fisherman. But I did see an older guy in a gray dodge pick up with some kind of checkered hood decal and a HUGE american flag on the truck with what appeared to be 2 high school girls in bikinis and one guy hanging onto the trucks running boards and climbing all over the bed while driving down the beach... Didnt get to grab a pic since I was chest deep in surf with a pole in my hand but there was no reason for it. I felt like I was back on the beach down south in the outer banks. Oh and out of the 5 people riding in / hanging on to the truck there was only 1 fishing pole. They need to get rid of the kids guarding the entrance and hire some one who will actually do the job... Although the kid at the gate did turn a guy away with a surf board in his bed when I drove on. Got a laugh out of that one. the guy was pissed.
