well i tried wiring them up today i went out and bought some wire, a fuse, toggle switch, and some connectors...its all wired up. the toggle switch is an illuminated switch and is getting power since its lighting up in "on" position...i think the problem is grounding the lights??? dose anyone know of a good ground near the back hatch? i tried the roof rack and i tried inside under the hatch itself. i guess its possible its not the ground either?
what would all of you suggest doing at this point?

Are you sure your switch is wired correctly? You could have crossed wires and the light on the switch works but doesn't send power to the lights. Also, How are you getting power to the lights? Did you run a wire from the battery, or are you using something from the rear lights? Just to help, I posted a wiring diagram in the Useful Tech website section. It shows a relay. This is really the best way to wire it up. With some cheaper switches, you run the risk of frying the switch. But, if it's a good switch, running it direct is ok to.

I wired the switch every possible way...lights still don't work. There wired right into the fuse box

if you need a ground just put a small screw into the body somewhere.

thats the next step and ifthqat dont work i know its not the ground at all and ill try to re-wire if that dont work i rip everything off and throw it in the pale
I know it sounds stupid, but did you try running a hot wire strait to the lights to see if they work?
