Hey guys, I know we all want events so I'm trying to make a way to easier keep track of everything for people on the site.
When you make a new Calendar (http://www.outlawedoffroad.com/calendar.php) item it will now automatically create a thread in the Events (http://www.outlawedoffroad.com/forumdisplay.php?27-Events-and-Planning) forum for you. On the other hand, when you go to make a New Thread now in the Events section, it will automatically take you to the calendar to make the new event. Once the event is posted you can reply and talk from there on it.
We can keep the planning and talking in the Lounge of Island sections since the buttons have to work this way in the section for it to function. So plan it up in the other forums, and once it goes up on the Events forum boom it's ready to go.
Events Section Events Posting Format
Title- Name of the event(no dates)
Date- default is todays date... change to date of event (will post at end of title)
Body:
Name of event
Address/Location of event
Any contact info (if known)
Link to events site and/or location where you got event from (if it applies)
Date(s) and time of event
Any Fees (if known or not covered by events webpage)
Event description
By default the event date will be the current date you are creating the event thread on. Remember you need to change this date to the actual date the event is happening.
If you have any questions BEFORE posting an event, PM Bandit1 first. If you are still unsure, you can send him the event details and he will post the event for you.
Any event that does not follow this format will be given the chance to be corrected. If not corrected within a reasonable amount of time, it will be deleted. All past events are archived after the event date. If you have pics from that event you want to post, contact Bandit1 or another mod and we will be happy to move it from the archives to the multimedia section for you.
