Please help!!urgent in greenlawn

It's 1.32 am and Iam stuck at the train station parkinglot my battery is low the starter sounded like it wanted to turn over. Then I got a jump from someone and still nothing then I tried to push start it and still nothing I turn the key and I hear the pump prim and relays and solenoid click but no starter. Any ideas?

the started maybe finished, what gear did you try to pop start it in?

Have someone tap the starter with a hammer while you turn the key. Or jump out the teminals on the solenoid

I had the same problem with my 89 yj this summer, I sat on the side of the road from 3am till the auto parts store opened swapped out the starter and then it was fine. well till the following day when it caught on fire.

since you tried to push start it and it still didn't work, I'd be looking at something else. Possibly the Alternator. If the Alt has a short in it, it will may not start, even when you try to to push start it.

so i changed the starter and it fixed my problem
