Welcome to OO, I think I have an idea of who you are via my wife and the joys of FB... lol anyway, nice rig man, sometimes I wish I had 4 doors. A buddy of mine out in shirley just did a lift and 35's on his JK Rubi 4 door and judging by the pics it looks great. Just do plenty of research before spending the money.

the wonders of fb lol . i have been researching lift kits for months now, so many different options for the jk its crazy some guys on my fb suggested teraflex so i have been really looking into that one just waiting on the funds. what type of setup did your buddy do?

I don't know yet, saw a couple pics he texted me but didn't get to really talk to him about it yet. I'll try to touch base tomorrow night with him. Looks good but gotta see what it does off road.

2008 Rubicon JKU here. Purchased my lift and wheels already, just waiting for funds for the 35's... Went with a Rock Krawler Stock Mod 2.5" lift with Billstien 5100, hear nothing but good things about this setup.

i bought mine straight from them, they are located in albany (by green island). i bought the 2.5 flex mod kit, just waiting for the Billstien 5100's to come in the mail (ordered them online and they said they were backordered... trying to straighten that out) and the warm weather back to install mine. ill surely take pics when i install it.

my buddy has a 2 door with the 2.5 stock mod lift and teraflex shocks. the install was super easy! the one thing he complains about is that he wishes he waited and saved the extra $$ to buy the Billstien 5100's.

from my experience with suspensions on other vehicles. most springs are going to perform the same, some will outlast others but performance wise they are about all the same. spend don't cheep out on the shocks. I've always had great results with Billstien on every application.

as for the rock krawler kits, they have a great reputation for being well built and are always willing to take care of their customers.

Hey I finally caught up with my buddy that just lifted his JKU, he went with a Pro Comp 2.5" and he says it rides pretty nicely so far, he hasn't had it off road yet but has some road miles on it. He's fitting the metric equivilant of 35's now.

I installed a 2.5" from Rock Krawler on a friend JK with 35's. It was probably the eisiest lift Ive ever installed. The only add-on we did was an adjustable rear track bar instead of the drop braket that comes with it. RK has lifetime warranties on all parts.. cant beat that

Been staring at that same kit for months sitting in my basement... Just waiting on the 35's now. Any known problems with the drop bracket? Or just a let's do this right moments?

Most of the Long Island JK owners are over on JK owners.com but good peeps here too.
Check out my Rig for some inspiration. 3 inch lift on 37's

I should add more people do their own wrenching and are a lot more creative with custom work on OO
