Ok, so I have had my OR-FAB winch bumper now for about 2 years. It has taken a bit of abuse between 2 wrecks it has survived, and a number of times off road. I must say, I LOVE this bumper. Not only does it look great (IMO), but it performs admirably. The pro’s are well, everything. Con’s on the other hand, there are a few. I will highlight some of the main pro’s and the con’s to this bumper.
Con’s
Stinger has to be bought separate
Stinger bolts on
Stinger has bad angle (IMO)
Light plate has to be bought separate
Pro’s
Modular, you can replace only the damaged section
Built in steering box outer brace
Is attached to jeep (XJ in my case) with beefy bolts and in 16 places
If you get the winch plate option, winch plate is thick and acts like a skid
Taken directly from their NEW PRODUCT ANOUNCMENT
•Constructed with rugged .120 wall steel tube: Gloss black Powder coat finish
•70lb weight won’t drop the nose of your vehicle
•Modular construction for easy installation and shipping
•PN 83202 comes with non-winch center section. PN 83203 comes with winch mount center section allowing the installation of all popular winch brands.
•Welded tabs for auxiliary lights and rock lights, plus mounting locations for two D-Rings
•Available accessory grille guard hoop and light mount kit
•Urethane Gap Guard to protect the area behind bumper
•Exclusive bracket design strengthens the problem area at the steering box
All in all, I am extremely happy with my front bumper. I would definitely and highly recommend this bumper to anyone that is looking for a bumper that looks good and functions well. The stinger that is on my bumper, I had custom made and welded in place, it is NOT the one you can buy as an accessory from the manufacturer.
