It is time to clear up some grey areas.
We, the staff of Outlawed Offroad, DO NOT condone illegal off-roading at any time. You do so at your own risk, and we are not to be held responsible for your choices or actions on or off these forums. What you do and whom you do it with is entirely up to you.
This should be common sense, but we all need a reminding from time to time on what is considered proper conduct on the site. Here are a few base guidelines to consider when posting here at OO.
Rules:
1. No open talking about locations you don’t belong in, or anything that is or could be deemed illegal. You can and are encouraged to post about going wheeling and meeting up with friends to have a good time, just no mention of any "spots" in your “Want to go wheeling at X?” threads. Use OO’s Event Section for gathering at legal places like the Beach, ORV Parks, etc.
2. Language, not much to say there, we are all adults. Keep it reasonable and don’t go overboard and it will pass the hall monitors criteria, unless it becomes too excessive. For example, but not limited to: f**k or any variation being every other or the majority of words in your post. We're all grown, constant F bombs won't impress anyone.
3. We all like to joke around, and we mean nothing by it. If you offend easily or can’t take a joke, please do not partake in the threads going that direction. Thick skin optional, but preferred if you’re going to get on it with others. We're grizzly offroaders here you have to expect a little horseplay. Fun threads are supposed to be fun, don’t be the debbie downer because you didn’t like someone poking the stick back at you.
4. No messages of hate, racism, or “online bullying”. We want to keep this a welcoming environment for enthusiasts of all types and we will not tolerate anything that singles people out in a negative way. If these are the ways you need to communicate online there are plenty of other sites that will allow it. We don’t. If someone is going after people through the site and ruining their experience we will ban the harasser for life, with no option to return. This is a 1 strike forums when it comes to protecting our members ability to be a part of the community.
We are a community with a common goal, let us be part of the solution and not the problem.
Any violation to these rules will result in action being taken. Warnings, thread closures, and temporary banning can and will occur if you feel you are above these rules and become a constant drain on the staff resources watching over you.
Staff are not above these rules, if you see a staff member breaking them, report to another staff member immediately.
Most importantly, We welcome you and want everyone to have a good time here at Outlawed Offroad. If you ever feel like your enjoyment here on the site is being jeopardize by another please contact a staff member on the site immediately so we can be of assistance.
Thank You,
The Outlawed Offroad Staff
