just open up a few days ago (the 21st i wanna say) out in carle place. i heard some great things about the store. actual people who know what there talking about when it comes to outdoor gear. just thought i would give every one a heads up that we finally have a real outdoor store on the island.

the only bad thing i have to say about REI is they are not to fond of us offroaders. i hear they go as far as trying to ban it somehow. idk if its true or what the details are but i have read that on a few forums.

I went to Cabella's on I78 near Rausch Creek for the first time in April. That place was amazing. How does REI compare to Cabellas?

REI: Starbucks as Cabelas: Dunkin Donuts

Alot of high end stuff at REI where as Cabelas is more regular guy sorta pricing.

I actually was sad when I went looking for EMS and found out it closed.

REI is more for rock climbing. water sports, cycling, hiking, camping. Cabelas is more hunting, fishing, camping
