There may be a few things I've forgotten

When we bought this truck, it was 100% stock, chromed out. Within four weeks, and with the help of some friends, this former mall-crawler was transformed into a nasty trail rig.

Are you sure your a Hummer owner?? Im so used to seeing Hummers getting chrome bolted anywhere they can find room and putting dumb ass 20s or bigger bling on there H2 orH3. The fact that you actually went out of your way to remove or paint over anything chrome is amazing. Big brownie points for no chrome.

Now thats what I am use to doing with a Hummer, well use to with the military cousin. I almost got the original Hummer when I graduated back in '97... didnt make the grades so no hummer for me, oh well. aside from the original, i have not been a fan of them till now. Huge bonus cookies for actually getting it dirty like is suppose to happen.

And you must know the saying... "Chrome don't get you home!"

Thanks guys. Alot of time and money in those builds. Everything for a Hummer is double the price of my XJ. Limited manufacturers for offroad parts but plenty of chrome parts available. I am the Anti-chrome

I really like the H3's. I was considering getting one but they're just too much for me right now. But from what I hear they can be built into damn nice offroaders. Didn't they do a H3 diesel? If not, I'm pretty sure you could put one of GM's diesel engines in there. I would LOOOOVE to see that.

Well been awhile since I updated this. Have done several mods since like ARB awning, dual Optima yellow top batteries with digital terminals and National Luna solenoid and dual battery controller. Pretty sweet being able to link them or charge them separate. So many benefits to a setup like this I also put a fire extinguisher and a 2000/4000 inverter to power anything 110v even a compressor. Speaking of compressors I have air horns but bought a separate 150psi compressor and a 4 gallon tank which is getting ready to be installed. I am going to install it where the muffler used to be because i removed the muffler and resonatir and replace them with a Flowmaster 40 series so I have a ton of room to fit the compressor and 4 gallon tank under there. Just need to fabricate a nice skidplate for it before wheeling it.
Plenty of mods done and being done. I also bought 3/8" steel to cover my under carriage protection just got to get down to Planet Auto with them so I can remove the UCP and weld the beef up plates on.
I also bought some ARB switches for all my fog lights and compressors and winch with labels identifying each awitch but need a custom switch holder made. Anyone good with olastic otherwise I have to TIG weld something up
