Stop by the Home Depot. They have Keeper recovery and tow straps.

you can also check out ebay for stuff too and you get it shipped to your door. I have gotten sooooooo many things from ebay for my jeep... recovery inclued, actually, all my recovery gear but 4 d-rings came from ebay (i have 8 total, 4 from ebay, 4 from the military)

also, harbor freight, auto zone, advance auto should have some stuff too.

shackles you want to be rated at least 4T or higher just like a winch. other than that not sure. I know I will break a shackle before I break my winch if it comes down to it, highest rated shackle is 6T(12Klbs) and the winch is 6.25T(12.5Klbls). there will be a couple of numbers you will see on them, one will be a fraction, that is your pin size or the straight piece that screws down and closes the shackle. the other number is your WLL or Working Load Limit, this is the rating of the shackle or the highest weight it can take safely. As with any upper limit it is tested well beyond that.
