So I'm looking to paint my plastic. Just wanted to find out what looks best. With photoshop, at least, I don't think it looks good totally black. Maybe a dark grey or some sort of satin black.

So which one is it?

not really a write up but very easy...just sand it down with 2000 gritt and use tacky cloth after to wipe off all dust grease and tar and its a no prep paint so no primer...just gotta go for it haha

I like the middle one myself.

I love the Krylon fusion paint. I have an old pair of JBL PA speakers that were originally this dark puke green color. Used the fusion and BOOM they're black.

I prefer truck bed liner from rustoleum.

The fusion stuff does not last that great IMO.

Well, I decided to go with the bed liner route. Neither one has quite the color I want, but the Krylon doesn't come in a flat enough color. Like i said, I used it on speakers and although it looks and works great, it's a bit shiny. Any suggestions on the process. I've painted my fair share of cars. But I've never used the bed liner stuff. Should I wait until it's a bit warmer? I'm already going to sand everything. What would you suggest about cleaning it? I planed on just going over it with liqueur thinner.

clean it with paint thinner then go over it with tacky cloth and be careful with the spay on bedliner, it comes out extra quick and that makes it easy for the paint to run

*2 on the bed liner spraying.. Also keep in mind when you lightly spray bedliner you get more of that gritty texture but when you spray a heavier coat you can fall into the issues of it wanting to run. I would absolutely spend the time testing on a piece of cardboard spray pattern / distance / texture on how you want to spray it first.

Well I finally decided on using the bedliner. Got her painted up today. Still need to touch up a few spots and had a few runs. But it looks pretty damn good, if I do say so myself.
